Facebook’s iPad App will go live at apple’s iPhone 5 event on October 4th.The app leaked earlier this year but was pulled a plug on by facebook.The app was completed in may and facebook has been sitting on it since as told by former Facebook engineer Jeff Verkoeyen in his blog who left Facebook for Google.Relationship with Apple is mainly to blame according to sources with all negotiation taking place between the two for this delay.

That’s according to Mashable, at least, whose sources also said a revamped iPhone app is coming, too, and possibly even those long-predicted HTML5 apps, which would let users do things like play Farmville on their iPhones.

The first Facebook app for tablets debuted this summer on the HP TouchPad, now discontinued.
